The city of Mauldin is planning on annexing three more sites which will expand the city. The annexations are to add approximately 500 new homes to the city. Currently the properties are undeveloped, but have housing developments planned on the 186 acres.
Mauldin has expanded several times in recent months to the south and west of the town. The annexations add 20 to 25 percent increase in residents to Mauldin's City population. The town has grown by 66 percent since 2000 and could reach almost 30,000 in the next few years. Along with the proposed re-development of the "downtown" area Mauldin is up and coming!
