Downtown Anderson announced a new name-brand hotel to be developed on the corner of South Main Street & East Market Street. The national franchise hotel has not yet been named. Construction is expected to break ground about a year after final government approval and will be complete within 2 years. Included in the hotel will be conference rooms, a swimming pool, fire pit and meeting spaces. The city is talking about the possibility of adding more parking with a new parking garage however plans for that have not been set in place yet.
