Developers have been chosen for the County Square
project. Foster+Partners, Wakefield,
Beasley & Associates and KDS Commercial Properties make up the team working
towards the new development of the 38-acres on the corner of Church Street
& University which is home to Greenville County’s main base of operation.
New office, retail, hotel, residential and public space is
expected to be spread across 3 million square feet. This project anticipates
5,500 new jobs, 7,700 construction jobs, 10 years to completion, $22.5 million
annual city and county tax revenue and $1 billion for the development in whole. A few concept renderings are floating around,
reflecting a modern 4+ story building with green space, a large water feature
and plenty of walking space to move around.
