Simpsonville to Recieve Assistance from National Park Service

Greenville County and the cities within in the county have had their focus on the Swamp Rabbit Trail Extension Project for some time now and progress is being made.

The National Park Service jumped in and selected the City of Simpsonville to receive technical and planning assistance for the Simpsonville portion of the extension. The assistance is made possible by the National Park Service's Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance program (RTCA).  RTCA works to promote outdoor recreation and conservation of local natural resources.

The National Park Service will be meeting with city officials in the upcoming weeks to begin work on formulating a plan that will connect Simpsonville to the Swamp Rabbit Trail as well as connect neighborhoods, parks and other key areas of the community.
