A new West End project called Gather GVL will feature 12
small scale restaurants occupying re-purposed shipping containers. The containers will be in multiple colors,
each one holding one restaurant, and will frame a partially covered
courtyard. Small independent, local and
regional companies are being sought out to occupy the food hall. Two levels are planned along with an entertainment stage. Outdoor seating is planned to accommodate 250 people in the courtyard
and on the rooftops. Discussions are underway to consider options for winter seating. The West End location was chosen for the areas continued growth. This
location is on Augusta Street next to the Greenville Drive's Fluor Field and across the street from the new
SC Children’s Theater building that is beginning construction. It will be a
17,000 square foot complex on a half-acre with a variety of food choices
