Downtown's Camperdown project is underway

The Camperdown mixed-use project is well underway, and we are highly anticipating its completion.   Located on the former Greenville News site, the complex is on the corner of Main Street and Broad across from the Peace Center.  The estimated completion date is Spring or Summer of 2019.  The first office building is currently under construction.  Spanning 4 acres of the downtown Greenville area there are a lot of different aspects to this project. The tallest building will be 15 stories high, the top 5 floors holding 18 premium condos. Below the condos 150,000 square feet will be set up for office space.  The 11-story building will hold 217 apartments.  Approximately 80,000 square feet of retail space will be available, plus a new JHM Hotel will offer 140 rooms.  A new 3-level underground garage will certainly come in handy for the future residents, consumers and employees.  There will be a theater complex too! All buildings will center around a landscaped open plaza complete with a performance stage, seating and play areas. The 4-story glass building built in early 2017 that now houses The Greenville News will be neighbors with the new hotel. Direct access to Falls Park from the complex is also planned.  We can’t wait to see this project finished!
