Greenville’s Free Trolley Routes, Expanding

One large and convenient amenity found in the Greenville area is the Greenville Trolley system. There are some big changes coming soon.  The Greenville Transit Authority proposed new routes for the Trolley system in 2016. They will soon announce the exact routes. The two routes that have been discussed are The Village of West Greenville and the Augusta Road community. Not only did the GTA add new routes around Greenville Luxury communities, they also extended existing routes. In the summer of 2016 two new Trolleys were bought.  The Greenville City council put together somewhere around $137,000 in hospitality tax money collected from tourism related businesses. The trolleys, existing and new, will be up and running along their new and extended routes in the spring of 2017. The City of Greenville will also be hosting open meetings on Tuesday, January 24^th 2017 and Wednesday, February 1^st 2017 so the public can bring their opinions to the table.
